We are thrilled to invite you to a very special evening with Bay Area poetess Ellery Akers.

Come join us in this fun, supportive poetry workshop, where we’ll write about our love of nature. We’ll try our hand at various exercises followed by Ellery reading some inspiring poems by nature poets that can encourage us to feel we’re not alone in our efforts to save the environment—that the soul of the earth is with us. You can also share your work aloud with the group.

Ellery Akers, the winner of thirteen writing awards, is the author of four books, including Practicing the Truth and Swerve: Environmentalism, Feminism, and Resistance. Her writing has appeared in Orion , Poetry, and The New York Times Magazine.
